According to the Daily Mail, mega Hollywood star, Brad Pitt, said: “making blockbuster Hollywood hits is no different to producing a fine wine” and has taken to the country for spot of wine production and farming.

Brad Pitt claimed that his talents as an actor and producer are used on his Provence winery estate. The star said that he applied the same approach he took to film in order to create his very first vino (the Cotes de Provence Rose Miraval). This was ranked as the “best rose in the world” in 2012.

In 2012, Brad Pitt and his long-time partner, Angelina Jolie, invested in the estate and only recently has he revealed his “approach to wine-making and farming.”

He said “For better or worse, given my compulsive nature, if we are going to be in the wine business, let’s make the best wine we can.”

“I asked the question, ‘why can’t we make world class wine in Provence?’”

“Let’s approach it like a film and let’s make something we can be proud of and people can enjoy.”

The film star has even fallen in love with his new lifestyle and said: “I’m a farmer now. I love learning about the land and which field is most suitable for which grape, the drama of September and October: Are we picking today?”

“Where are the sugar levels? How is the acidity? Is it going to rain? It’s been a schooling for me. In the off months, I enjoy cleaning the forest and walking the land.”

Another reason why this movie star enjoys the farming life is it gives him a chance to escape from his hectic Hollywood career and lifestyle.

Pitt said: “It’s very peaceful and the antithesis of the drive, the want, the need to get ahead indicative of life in Hollywood. I’m instantly reminded of what quiet sounds like.”

The couple’s first beverage was priced at $32.77 and was first sold by Berry Bros & Rudd with a few Royal clients including the Queen and Prince Charles. Apparently, the company itself have requested more wine to sell.

During March 2013, 6,000 bottles of the couple’s wine sold out within just 5 hours after it was offered online in France.

Simon Field, Berry Bros buyer said: “The couple have, by all accounts, been fairly hands-on and are extremely pleased with the results – as are we.”

Brad Pitt revealed that he is thinking of making a red wine and said: “give us seven years.”
